Intelligent Systems, Communications, and Signal Processing
Systems is a broad area of electrical and computer engineering that develops mathematical frameworks to model, analyze, and control complex systems across many domains.
These methods apply not only to electrical systems, but also to large-scale and dynamic systems such as power grids, transportation networks, aircraft and autonomous vehicles, communication systems, manufacturing processes, and even biological systems.
Research in this area spans communications, signal processing, optimization, and control, as well as sensing and data fusion, surveillance and target tracking, and neural modeling. By combining theory with real-world applications, systems engineering enables the design of intelligent, efficient, and reliable technologies that operate across interconnected and rapidly changing environments.
